I was at Harbor Freight buying an 8-gallon, 2 HP air compressor. Yippeee… sounds exciting doesn’t it?

A bit of backstory: late last year we started our own business. Early this year, I was diagnosed with cancer and the business took a back seat. Last month, a few weeks ago rather, we got our first BIG order. $10,000 of an order (high five EVERYONE!).

We’re making the bits of the order now. We (or Steven really) are casting parts in a resin/epoxy. For the parts for cure properly, it is best to have them cure under pressure because that will remove/severely limit air bubbles.  My guy Steven really knows his stuff.

Today: our cheap, small air compressor finally died. It was struggling last night, and today it just couldn’t do its job anymore.  Steven immediately looked up what was available at Harbor Freight, and he decided on the 8-gallon, 2 HP air compressor. It will hold up for the job nicely.
