2:45pm, Wednesday August 30th

I was in the kitchen, hacking two heads of cauliflower into smaller bits of cauliflower.  This will become Aarti Sequeira’s Smokey Roasted Cauliflower with Limey Yogurt.  I’ve only made the Yogurt sauce a few times and while not bad, I love love love the cauliflower.  I never ate so much cauliflower before this recipe, and my husband can’t eat enough of it. I would say this is a fine example of cooking well… especially for vegetables (I am a hardcore cheeseburger lover after all)… it is a simple way of preparing vegetables that I swoon over and want to eat the whole platter in one sitting.

I’ve been busy in the kitchen today. So far I’ve made cheesy taco meat egg cups, poached chicken that will get turned into chicken salad tomorrow, I mixed up a marinade for shrimp that will get grilled later on and will go on a salad with soon-to-be made Orange-Smoked Paprika Vinaigrette. Yum!  Will be a very tasty meal.
